Hottie Crewmember of the Week: When You Need Someone to Save You

Bo’sun Terri called me to say she was unable to post the Hottie of the Week, due to her truck decided to misbehave when it got to the RT Convention. (Typical.) It was a transmission problem. (Typical.) The mechanic was really nice and only charged her for the parts. (Not so typical, but total score for the Bo’sun.)

Therefore, I got to thinking about the kind of man you’d want to have when you need to be saved. Bo’sun suggested a mechanic, but I think she’s not aiming high enough. I want a guy around who can really save my tush if the world’s going to end. I want a hero. *cueing Holding Out For a Hero*

I give you: Bruce.

I’m a complete sucker for this fellow Pisces and his sad green eyes. But stick a gun in his hand, and he’ll go the distance to make sure you have a happy ending. Thank you, Bruce, for saving me…and I’m going to watch Armageddon for the billionth time so I can cry inconsoably when you bite it at the end.

Who’s your favorite action hero? If the world was going to end, who do you want beside you to take your mind off it?

Aye, aye, Captain. I concur. This is one smart/smarty-pants hero. I’m also a HUGE fan of Jensen Ackles of Supernatural. His character Dean has a soft heart and a tough (but adorable) exterior. He could keep my mind off anything.

  2. Eileen Says:

I’ll keep my hubbie. I’ve got him all broke in the way I like and he’s techno savvy in a McGiver kind of way.

Oh Cap’n! What a fine choice for the Hottie today! I love Bruce. Tough, but with the bit of ooey gooey goodness I find irresistible.

Other favorite heroes, huh? My hubby too (because I couldn’t let Eileen show me up). But, if my hubby is too busy at his accountant job and someone else needs to step up I would have to choose Viggo Mortensen a la Lord of the Rings.

PS. waving hi to both Eileen and Megan Kelly! Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, thank you ever so much for helping me out today, Captain! And I was nice enough to wait until noon her time so as not to wake her up and then have to ask a cranky Captain to bail me out.

I have been a Bruce fan since the first episode of Moonlighting. Who didn’t fall in love with David Addison?! And I love when he danced a jig in Last Boyscout (is that right?) and who’d have ever thought “Yippee K….I was going to type the rest of that but have no idea how to spell it. You know what it is and it’s sexy!

Sorry, it’s after 11, I just got home after driving through torential downpours, the problem on my truck that was supposedly fixed is not fixed, and I have 100 emails. And I still have to write tomorrow’s blog. So I’m totally babbling for no reason but no ones going to read this anyway. *sigh* And now my 8 key is sticking. Just shoot me now!

I just started watching ‘Torchwood’ on BBC America and man am I hooked. Jack - would you believe he’s called Cap’n. Jack - is the hero in that series. A hot lookin’, time travelin’, monster quelchin’, tortured soul of a hottie! Can’t beat it!

Oh, and I’ve always had a thing for Bruce’s devilish half grin!

I like me some wolverine for action men :

Thank you guys for stopping by! I know this went up awfully late. I was having the worst time with my dialup!

Megan! (Is this who I think it is? My RWA Chapter friend?) How are you?!?

Eileen, was your husband looking over your shoulder as you wrote this? Okay, I know he wasn’t! Esp since you said your hero of Unpredictable was sorta like him…and he was very adorable in the book.

Marnee, Viggo is a WONDERFUL choice. LOTR is his best work. And I wouldn’t even give him a bath; I’d take him scruffy.

    Terri, I appreciate your consideration.

Santa, I love the BBCA channel. Hmmm, must start watching Torchwood.

Tiff: isn’t that Hugh Jackman? We’ll have to have him on the ship one day….

I loved Bruce in his Moonlighting incarnation. I am not a fan of action movies, so that later BW leaves me cold.

If I need saving along with the rest of my world, I want a hero woth more than human powers. I’ll take Superman/Christopher Reeve, who proved IRL to have the courage and the heart of a super hero.
