This is a huge milestone which many writers never reach. I love your dh's response. Most guys don't know how lucky they are to have an imaginative woman. *winks* I'm sorry to say I agree with everyone about waiting. Start your next book so those characters are in your head and heart. You need some distance. The contest advice is sound. I love contests, especially if you can final and get read by an editor you want to sell to. BTW, I don't eat coconut anything, but our crit group, CORE, goes to Cheesecake Factory every month. LOL But you know, you have to go with your gut and what is right for you. Personally, I'd make sure your 50 pages are polished and your synopsis and enter it in Golden Heart.
