Hottie Crew Member of the Week – We Need a Hero

*entire crew breaks into song*

We’re holding out for a hero ’til the end of the night
He’s gotta be strong
And he’s gotta be fast
And he’s gotta be fresh from the fight

That’s right folks, it’s time we add a hero to this crew.  And I know just the guy.  I have it on good authority he’s going to need to lay low for a while.  So when I offered him a spot on the ship, he ditched that old cave without a second thought.  I give you, your Dark Knight.

Dark Knight

This guy has everything we need.  Chiseled good looks that make a piratess want to give up her rum for one glance at the goods.  Then there’s the gadgets.  And the money.  Mustn’t forget the money.  Pirates are all about the treasure, you know.

Bruce Wayne

I agree, with that full rubber suit, he takes *protection* a little far.  But I’ve seen some of the stuff that takes place in the corners of this ship, so to be honest, I can’t say I blame him.  Overall he’s a perfect fit for this crew.  He goes his own way, makes his own rules, and comes with his own First Mate.  Well, he calls him a butler but still, it’s really the same thing.

Today marks the countdown – TEN DAYS TO RWA NATIONALS!  Tune in tomorrow when we talk about packing, preparing and panicking.  Even if you’re not going to Nationals this year, stop by to be entertained by my insanity.

Now, anybody else go see The Dark Knight this weekend?  What did you think?  Did it live up to the hype?  And did The Joker creep you out as much as he did me?

Nope. My son had the Batman Underoos. I just can’t get into cartoonworld, or Bale.

  2. Quantum Says:

This guy is a hero??? Have the pirates been seduced to the Dark side??

I can’t see myself making polite conversation with this charmer on a dark night!

Afraid I haven’t seen ‘The Dark Knight film’ but this reminds me of Darth Vader on a bad night.

Terri, for a real hero try googling ‘Obi-Wan’. I would suggest ‘Luke Skywalker’ but I don’t really want that sort of competition.

The force be with you! :D

    I love a man in uniform… He’s a much better batman than Mayne… :)

I love a man in uniform… He’s a much better batman than Mayne but I’d rather have him with the costume on… :)

I haven’t seen it yet… I will probably have to wait… two young kids an all.

  5. Tiffany Says:

I have no idea what happened in the comments… that’s just weird… lol.

Maggie – I’m not much for the comics stuff either. I really only went because of Heath Ledger’s performance. Happy to report, it was amazing.

Q – This dude is definitely a hero. I think the fact he has no real super power makes him one even more. Though I’ll agree, even with all his money and gadgets, he doesn’t have anything as cool as *the force*. :) And I’m a Han Solo girl all the way.

Tiff – hogging the comments today? LOL! I’ll ignore the Mayne comment *ahem* but he does look good in the uniform. In this one, he even gets a new uniform that allows him to turn his head. It’s about dang time.

I haven’t seen this yet, but I want to. I’ve heard Heath’s a scary/creepy Joker. I would like to see that.

I must admit that Bale’s Batman isn’t as good as Keatons. He is cute though.

Marn – You’re right about Keaton’s Batman. No one will top him. But Bale is the best since. And with these newer versions, they’ve made them less silly. The jokes aren’t corny and the action is hard hitting instead of *pow/zing/bang* over the top.

Heath totally creeped me out. But not in that Silence of the Lambs sort of way. The character, besides be a sociopath, is actually intelligent.

  9. DJS Says:

Loved Keaton’s Batman. Probably won’t see the movie. For some reason, I’d rather read than watch movies.

  10. terrio Says:

DJS – my movie moods come and go. But I rarely get to the cinema while kiddo is in town so I’m taking advantage of my freedom for the summer. And as good as the movie is, it doesn’t top a good book. :)
