Hottie Crewmember of the Week - I Need a Hero!

Terri has kindly allowed me to take over crewmember wrangling duties this week and I’ve decided to devote this column to Julian McMahon, my hero’s namesake and the inspiration for his good looks.

I first thought Julian was adorable in Charmed, which was the initial inspiration for my story.  He played the demon, Cole, who fell in love, despite all odds, with one of the witches on the show.

Something about his angsty portrayal of a man torn between his very nature and the power of love really spoke to me.  Well, and he’s sorta hunky.

So, tell me, is your hero/heroine inspired by someone else?  And what do you think of my hunky guy?  I say, pass him some rum!

Julian (this one and your hero) is adorable. He has the looks to pull off a very elegant suit, but still carries that bad boy aura about him. Not sure how he does that, but I like it.

My hero’s appearance is inspired by one of the carpenters on a reality home make over shows on TLC. Not sure how I turned a carpenter into a chef but the idea of a weight lifting, built like a brick shithouse chef just appeals to me. :)

Thanks for taking over the casting for the day, Marn! Great job.

I loved Julian in Charmed. Cole was my favorite character. He started my love of demons. Kim Harrison refined it.

I’ve never seen a guy who looked like Ash or Ruiz, for that matter. I’ve got to admit that I’ve never went lookin’ either. I have this pic- it’s an anime pic- that is Sadie. Of course, when you begin the story, her hair is black. And she’s doing a bit of computer mischief.

Yep, Julian is certainly a handsome well built fellow. An excellent mould for a romantic hero!

For me though, nothing beats a dashing hero in cricketing whites. Have a look at Andy Flintoff, hero of today’s one-day test match against South Africa at Lords. As well as excelling on the cricket pitch, Andy has been something of a ‘bad boy’ at times, but we’ll forgive him anything if he helps England to beat the Aussies in Australia!

My hero looks like Andy, plays cricket and falls in love with a siren.

I liked Julian in The Fantastic Four and Charmed. Yummy!

He’s a cutie, Marnee! I can’t wait to read your book and have you bring his character to life for me.

I’m glad everyone likes this Julian. :) Mine looks similar (in the confines of my brain) but acts a bit different.

Mmmmm…very nice. I even like him in Nip/Tuck, though he has a LOT of issues. I’ll have to check out the other stuff he’s in.

And Q, just how big is that cricket fellow? I don’t know that much about cricket but do they have a calender like that French soccer team does? Just curious - for research purposes, you understand.

  8. Quantum Says:

Santa, Andy is a giant of a man (well over 6 ft). He bowls maidens over with 90 mph deliveries that swing and cut….awesome!

No suggestions for saucy cricket calenders yet…aint that sort of game.
